Forged Grinding Balls for Mineral Processing
Forged grinding balls are used as grinding media in ball mills and semi-autogenous (SAG) mills. Ball selection depends on mill size, impact conditions, ore characteristics and the required operating life. We can discuss the appropriate grade and diameter against your technical specification.
Product Range
The B2/B3 technical reference sheet covers nominal diameters of 20–150 mm. Confirm availability, manufactured diameter, tolerance and acceptance requirements for each grade and size. GY-45, manganese steel and sizes outside that reference range require separate technical confirmation. When ordering by inch size, also agree the nominal diameter in millimetres.
Quality Documentation
For a technical review, please tell us which records your purchasing specification requires, such as chemical composition, surface and core hardness, impact testing, drop testing or dimensional inspection. We will confirm the available records for the proposed grade and batch.
Request a Quotation
Please provide the mill type (ball mill or SAG mill), ball diameter, material grade if specified, ore or application, tonnes per diameter, destination port and any applicable test standard. Our team will review the requirements and prepare a quotation.
For current B2/B3 reference specifications, surface and core hardness and batch inspection requirements, see our forged steel grinding balls product page.
